Job description **Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Stainless Steel Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding stainless steel components and structures, ensuring precision and quality in all work performed. As a Stainless Steel Welder, you will be responsible for interpreting engineering drawings, selecting appropriate materials, and using various welding techniques to produce high-quality welds. **Responsibilities:** 1. **Welding Tasks:** - Perform welding operations on stainless steel components and assemblies based on engineering specifications. - Use TIG (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) and possibly other welding techniques as required. - Ensure welds meet structural standards and specifications. - Conduct quality inspections of completed welds to identify defects and ensure conformance with company standards. 2. **Preparation and Setup:** - Interpret and analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols. - Select appropriate materials and equipment required for each welding task. - Prepare surfaces to be welded, ensuring cleanliness and proper fit-up. 3. **Safety and Maintenance:** - Adhere to safety standards and protocols, including wearing protective gear and maintaining a safe work environment. - Perform regular maintenance on welding equipment and tools to ensure functionality and longevity. - Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to management promptly. 4. **Documentation and Collaboration:** - Maintain accurate records of welding activities, including materials used, work completed, and time spent. - Collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to achieve project goals and deadlines. - Communicate any issues or challenges encountered during welding processes to appropriate personnel.Requirements **Requirements:** - Proficiency in TIG/MIG welding techniques; additional experience with MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding may be advantageous. - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. - Familiarity with welding tools and equipment, including knowledge of safety protocols. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. - Physical stamina and dexterity to perform welding tasks in various positions and environments. - Certification in welding (e.g., ABM or any valid technical certification) is a advantage. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Vocational training or apprenticeship in welding. - Previous experience working with stainless steel in manufacturing or construction settings. - Knowledge of different grades of stainless steel and their welding requirements. - Experience in mechanical engineering field will be major advantage **Working Conditions:** - This position typically involves working in a manufacturing or construction environment. - May require working in confined spaces or at heights, depending on project requirements. - Occasional overtime or weekend work may be necessary to meet project deadlines. **Note:** The above job description is designed to outline primary duties, qualifications, and job scope but does not encompass every detail or task that may arise.
