Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Perform visual inspections and verification of welds, joints, and materials in
accordance with AWS, ASME, and ISO standards.

Ensure welding activities comply with approved Welding Procedure
Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).

Conduct welder qualification tests and maintain certification records. Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding
codes/standards.

Maintain accurate inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and
welding records.

Monitor welding consumables and verify they are stored and used according to
quality requirements.

Support root cause analysis and corrective action plans for welding-related issues. Collaborate with the Production, Quality Assurance, and Engineering teams to
resolve welding quality concerns.

Assist in internal and external audits related to welding and fabrication quality. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies at all

Requirements

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Science, or
equivalent.

Must hold a valid AWS-CWI certification (Certified Welding Inspector).
Experience:

Minimum 3 years of working experience in welding inspection, preferably in
manufacturing, oil & gas, pressure vessels, or heavy fabrication industries.

Experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys welding
processes.

Strong knowledge of welding processes.
Skills & Competencies:

Excellent understanding of welding symbols, codes, and standards Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to prepare clear and detailed inspection reports. Good communication and teamwork skills, able to liaise with multiple
departments.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and inspection software/tools. Strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM13,000.00 per month
