Where you fit in

As Well Site Supervisor, you will complete the activities that are link between the drilling of the borehole to the production phase for the asset. Complete encompass the design, planning and execution activities to enable production of the reservoir section. Interventions refer to maintenance, surveillance, or workover activities to restore, protect or enhance the production of the well once it has been on production.

What\xe2\x80\x99s the role?

As Well Site Supervisor, you will perform specified tasks within the design, planning or execution phase of wells operations, will work with moderate supervision which requires comprehensive combination of applied and theoretical knowledge. You will apply standard techniques or procedures to assigned tasks

Safety

• Demonstrate a high commitment to HSSE & provide exemplary leadership on site. Safe delivery of well program according to HSSE Control Framework and Contractor HSSE Management System as applicable.
• Assist & Assure (A&A): Lead by example and drive the execution of the A&A program on well site through personal participation, holding contractors accountable and knowing the gaps for the site.
• Actively promoting Human Performance (fail safely), Goal Zero, Life Saving Rules, and use of Safety Tools/Processes and best practices (i.e. Lift Minimization, Job by Design, Own the Zone) to both staff and contractors associated wells operation.
• Manage Wells Process Safety & Personal Safety. Provide inputs in Well Control Plan and Well Control Contingency Plan.

Operation

• Accountable for on-site activity planning & daily work programming, supervision, and documentation of wells operations, according to defined specifications and standards. When changes or deviations occur, implement Management of Change & Deviation utilizing Well Office.
• Implement SOP per Wells Franchise model
• Responsible to verify effectiveness of emergency response controls on site. Carry out duty as stipulated in Shell Malaysia Emergency Response Plan.
• Work closely with office-based Operations team to make work decisions / recommendations and provide input on well programs.
• Review well programs and provide feedback to improve operation steps to achieve safe and efficient operations
• Cost and Time Tracking - Champion in tracking well costs and job timing during execution, including differentiating trouble costs/time from expected costs/time.
• Contract Management - Manage contractor services in the field in line with the contracting strategy and the goals of the contract management team. Provide input, evaluation of service quality and feedback on contractors to enable effective contract management.
• Performance Improvement - Champion operational performance improvement initiatives throughout the well delivery process. Lead the site team in identifying and implementation of opportunities to optimize operations. Support the implementation of new technologies as applicable.
• Interface & Integration - Lead by example in ensuring integration with Shell Production OIM, Engineering CSR, contractors on site and other support functions for safe and efficient execution. Responsible for clear communication to site team on well objectives and operational targets.

People Development

• As site leader, provide coaching and mentoring for team members to deliver best-in-class performance. Provide coaching feedback to help develop others and self.

• Role model leadership and coaching young staff to develop high level of technical depth and leadership attributes.

What do we need from you?

• At least minimum of 3-5 years of Drilling experience.
• Candidate should be willing to rotate, 28 days offshore and 28 days on shore.
• Operator experience is preferred.
• Petroleum Engineer Degree or Similar.
• Drilling Services Contractor is an advantage.
