Job Description

Scope:

This position involves providing accounting support to maintain the accounting records of the company as well as to perform other administrative tasks.

Key Job Authority:



1. Authority to access and manage accounting information.

2. Authority to access and manage accounting database in JobBoss and Exact Globe Next system.

3. Authority to manage funds in bank account and issue checks.

4. Authority to manage and disburse petty cash.

Key Job Accountability



1. Responsible for ensuring that accurate accounting data is entered into JobBoss and Exact Globe Next system.

2. Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payment of vendors' invoices, bills, etc.

3. Responsible for ensuring that employees' claims are correct and accurate.

4. Responsible for ensuring that petty cash is always sufficient and is accurately disbursed.

5. Responsible for proper filing of accounting documents.

6. Responsible to attend the weekly accounting meeting with Operations Manager and Accounting Manager.

Job Functions



1. Administrating and recording the use of petty cash.

2. Perform cash count regularly to ensure that the balance tally with petty cash report.

3. Ensure that the vendors' invoices are correct and properly approved before payment.

4. Ensure that employees' claims are correct and accurate.

5. Ensure that freight charges are correct and prepare shipping cost report.

6. Prepare payment vouchers for approval and issue checks.

7. Ensure that sufficient bank balance is maintained and that bank records are properly updated.

8. Forecast the funds requirement and request for funds from parent company on a timely manner.

9. Perform monthly bank reconciliations.

10. Assist in data entry into JobBoss and Exact Globe Next system.

11. Maintain proper filing of accounting documents.

12. Provide administrative support when the need arises.

Education/Training/Experience:



1. Certificate / Diploma in Accounting or equivalent.

2. Three (3) year of work experience in a similar capacity.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities



1. Computer literate.

2. Good typing skill (above 60 wpm)

3. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Words, Excel, Powerpoint and Adobe PDF.

4. Proficient in the English, Chinese and the Malay language.

5. Familiar with the use of Jobboss or a similar accounting software.

6. Familiar with the imprest system of the petty cash.

7. Familiar with the use of common office equipment.

8. Possess a valid driving license.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 6-12 months

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
