Job Description


SUMMARY OF THE ROLEThe Account Executive is responsible to administer and execute Accounts Payable transactions through timely and accurate processing, matching, coding and updating into relevant systems in accordance with company policy and procedures in order to provide regular, up-to-date, and accurate information on status or deviations.This position will be reporting to the Payable Team Lead and will be based in Shah Alam, Selangor.Responsibilities:Posting and processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded and effective internal control are in place.Carry out suppliers and bank reconciliations by analyzing suppliers and bank statements in order to reconcile differences between suppliers and bank statements and our books of accounts.Handle all supplier payments for local and overseas vendors by preparing, checking, verifying, posting, and signing all payment vouchers to ensure compliance to payment agreed terms.Prepare payroll by processing salaries to ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries if required.Assist and comply with all VAT regulations as per local requirements if required.Liaise and coordinate with both internal and external parties like banks and auditors to meet audit requirements and adhere to local rules and regulations.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFERQualificationsCandidate must possess at least a bachelor\'s degree, or Professional Degree, in Finance/Accountancy.At least 3 years of working experience in related field.Knowledge in Accounts Payable and General Ledger is required for this position.Familiar with computerized accounting software.Personal qualitiesActs on own initiative, makes things happen and accepts responsibility for the results.Uses a methodical and systematic approach; plans ahead, defines clear priorities and allocates resources effectively.Creates a stable and re-assuring work atmosphere; supports and encourages team in difficult times; is firm and reliable.Communicates in a clear, precise and structured way; speaks with authority and conviction; presents effectively.Co-operates well with others; shares knowledge, experience and information; supports others in the pursuit of team goals.Adheres to company rules and procedures; executes plans with commitment and determination; achieves high quality resultsWhat we offerWe are a fast-growing paint and coatings company with proven financial success.Career development encompassing on-the-job experiences and Jotun Academy, our in-house development academy.Best-in-class paint products that are unparalleled in quality.We are a values-driven organization where Respect, Loyalty, Care and Boldness are core to the culture and success of our organization.Relocation support.POSITION INFORMATIONCompany: Jotun Paints (Malaysia) Sdn.
