Job Description


The Opportunity: Works independently under close supervision, responsible for maintaining relationships with accounts by visiting customer sites within assigned territory. Sell products and services to customers and act as point of contact post-sale, focusing on ongoing customer satisfaction, retention, and growing business. In addition to face-to-face meetings, engage with customers over the phone and Internet (e.g., chat, email, video conferencing, etc.) to close sales and support clients. Respond to client inquiries and offer guidance on appropriate products and services.What we are looking for:

  • Education: At least Diploma in Biotechnology, Biomedical / Chemical Process Engineering or related Science Background
  • Experiences: Min. 3 years of sales experience in the life-science, biomedical or pharmaceutical research institutions, chemical industries and/or semi-conductor industries.
  • A proven track record of verifiable sales success driving growth with a consultative, strategic selling approach Experienced in working in a fast paced and targeted environment, with high team interaction, routinely interacting with customers, manufacturers and colleagues
  • Business-to-business sales experience, preference may be given to those with distribution experience and scientific background and/or having worked in a laboratory or research environment
  • Demonstrated capability to effectively utilize best in class selling processes (e.g. SPIN, Consultative Selling) and technology platforms including CRM Tools
  • Passion in liaising with internal and external customers
  • A team-player who is able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to manage various buyer types and personalities (e.g. technical-, user-, and economic buyers)
  • Ability to work independently and successfully manage time and territory
  • Strong ability to negotiate large account pricing strategies / contracts.
  • Good detail-oriented personality, excellent personal organization and time management skills
How you will thrive and create an impact:
  • Maintains good rapport with key account customers, channel partners or sourcing out for new accounts and other business opportunities and assists with their sales enquiries when necessary
  • Periodic sales visits to key account customers.
  • Provides excellent customer service through product knowledge, handling inquires and eventual sales order.
  • Sets both short and long term goals and puts in place strategies and plans to achieve sales target.
  • Manages existing Key Accounts and generates additional revenues to ensure business growth.
  • Provides the Management with up-to-date key accounts activities and issues regularly.
  • Drives business expansion explores and targets business growth opportunities locally.
  • Responsible for identifying market opportunities, making sales growth, achieving sales target, expanding the market and customer base.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
