Position Summary

This position is responsible for the Cost Accounting & Inventory of our Malaysia operations and report into the plant controller in Malaysia.

Responsibilities:

• Support plant operation which requires a good understanding of the nature of the business and products in order to execute daily activities effectively.
• Responsible for prompt and accurate recording of financial activities such as PPV analysis, inventory revaluation & month-end close process consistent with corporate policies, GAAP and local statutory requirements.
• Setting standard costs in the system which include planning, studying and collecting data to determine the standards/rates, perform analysis of standard costing and maintenance of standard cost system for plant operation.
• Responsible for procedures and policies for cost accounting.
• Perform and analyze budget and forecasting activities, cost modeling.
• Analyze and support on Capex request including CAPEX monitoring.
• Provide ad-hoc assistance to improve cost savings or process improvements through involvement in finance ERP project and operational improvement activities towards simplification, efficiency gains & automation.
• Timely monthly financial reporting and KPI indicators to support Operations.
• Maintain sound documentation system to support audit requirements.
• Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.

Eeperience:
5 years of progressive accounting experience primarily within a global manufacturing environment.

Desirable

• Previous financial accounting experience in a high tech or global company
• SAP experience

Education and Credentials:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting
• CIMA / ACCA / CPA or similar designation

Others:
