Roles and Responsibilities

OVERALL OBJECTIVES

  • Be a key Subject Matter Expert in Model Development where you guide clients through the model development process for Retail Consumer and SME portfolios
  • Supports analytics presales team in short consultancy engagements with clients to assist the sales team in identifying growth opportunities
  • Understand and effectively communicate key regulatory issues in relation to model development.
  • The development of application scorecards, behavioural scorecards and predictive models for Customers with a focus on clients in Asia-Pacific
  • The development of regulatory (Basel II and IFRS9) models in relation to local regulatory requirements
  • As required, provide consulting services to clients in wider APAC region on a range of analytics based services through the customer life cycle including regulation, originations, account/customer management and strategy
  • Project management and development of wider team members
  • Provide consulting services to clients in APJ on a range of analytics based services across the customer lifecycle specific to retail banking risk management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Generates ideas to increase opportunity scope
  • Design and development of Machine Learning models, scorecards / decision support models including Risk and Marketing models for major banks, retailers, credit card issuers and other lenders in the region.
  • Responsibility for consultation with customers in relation to model design and implementation.
  • Delivery and maintenance of design specifications and project documentation
  • Provide general consultancy to support customers in their on-going use of credit scores and their generation and interpretation of scorecard monitoring reports.
  • Work on a number of different projects simultaneously, of varying complexity and length. Establishing priorities and coordinating work
  • Using appropriate software to carry out scorecard development, statistical analysis and ad-hoc analysis
  • Appropriate management of time and resources
  • Proactively manage efforts to maximize Fair Isaac revenue, maintain client satisfaction, and quantify project benefits delivered.
  • Supporting the analytics presales team to work with Product Management to \xe2\x80\x98productionize\xe2\x80\x99 some portion of custom work that is repeatable and has IP that may be packaged in the form of a product
  • Supporting the sales team with business development, client liaison and technical sales support
  • Supports in providing continuing education of the sales team for FICO\'s analytics software solutions
  • Develops deep industry and competitive knowledge in a given business area and supports analytics presales team to disseminate this information throughout the sales team

  • Proven Project Management ability of leading projects within budgets
  • Anticipates major project challenges; proactively leads project team and clients
Client Management
  • Proactive & responsive leading client towards key decisions that lead to project success
  • Strong command of business language; communicates persuasively and effectively
Domain Knowledge
  • Deep credit risk modelling knowledge with a strong understanding of local/BIS regulatory requirements
  • Financial services industry knowledge
Analytic Skills
  • 8+ years credit modelling experience.
  • Experience of delivering a variety of optimisation / decision / predictive modelling projects across various decision areas and industries
Experience/Qualifications
  • MS or Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering or similar technical field, or equivalent professional experience beyond the Bachelors degree.
  • Deep experience with various modelling methodologies, including developing scoring algorithms is required.
  • Machine Learning model development experience is strongly preferred.
  • 4+ years of Project Management or equivalent client focused delivery experience.
  • Previous (front-office) Banking Experience with a major bank in the APAC region
  • Minimum 8 years of related work experience with a focus on building risk models in the retail consumer space.
  • First class English communication/written skills is essential
RELEVANT SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
  • Scoring technology and methodologies at a deep level;
  • Hands on Experience in credit risk model development for Retail and SME Models (including PD, LGD, EAD/CCF)
  • Exposure to Economic Stress-Testing of Capital requirements
  • SAS/SPSS, Java or similar object oriented programming language;
  • Model development techniques and tools such as FICO Model Builder, R, Python, SAS
  • Advanced statistical methods and quantitative analysis;
  • Statistical tools and programs.
