The Asset Performance Management (APM) Functional Consultant has a key role in all phases of the project lifecycle, the role is heavily focused working collaboratively with customer stakeholders to understand the functional capabilities of the Lumada APM and Reliability Modeler (RM) modules, the business processes within organizations that it supports and how data and configuration can determine the quality of the outcomes. The APM Functional leads by example in demonstrating the values of Hitachi Energy. Within the project team, they are a leader that takes ownership and champions the realization of the benefits of using APM and RM through leading customer interactions and discussions, presenting at workshops with persuasion, influencing, coordination with APM and RM product owners and developers. Additionally, the APM Functional Consultant understands core Project Management principles and actively supports the assigned Project Manager with respect to delivery to schedule, budget and quality. The APM functional consultant will understand for example the Project Management triple constraint whereby trades offs between schedule, scope and quality need to be managed. At times the APM Functional Consultant may be assigned presales duties whereby they contribute to RFI/RFP responses and the development of design documents. They may be asked to provide specialist expertise and input to Hitachi Energy proposals and work closely with the presales team to meet with customers to position and present our solution offering. Responsibilities:Be the functional expert within a project team in the Lumada APM and RM software modules and have some knowledge of other related Lumada modules such as EAM and Asset Investment Planning. Understand the measurement of asset performance using SCADA systems, Sensors, DCS, laboratory analysis results, Inspections and how such data can be used systematically to assess their current and future health. Understand the preparation data for use in pre-defined diagnostic and prognostic models and be able to guide a customer through this process. Understand and be able to guide customer\'s through a prioritization and ranking of assets in relation to their importance within operational and budgeting processes. Be able to communicate effectively within Customer engineering management teams. Understands core engineering design principles that are applied to the manufacture and operation of critical assets within the asset intensive industry in relation to being able to model their reliability, failure modes and thresholds. Understands and can effectively communicate task progress to project schedules. Contribute to implementations for strategic opportunities including new products. Support and contribute to GPG provided implementation toolkits. Define/Deliver best practice advisory engagements with new and existing customers. Define/Deliver solutions across multiple Hitachi Energy Enterprise Software Solutions and describe how these solutions will meet customer needs and interact with other systems. Guide/Collaborate with partners to evangelize the Lumada platform and define initial solutions. Provide Partner advice/oversight for partner delivered solutions. Provide specialist domain and/or industry knowledge (e.g. War stories) to build credibility with clients. Provide functional domain expertise including detailed solution and opportunities for customers to derive value. Drive the development of implementation templates to assist resource planning and cost estimation. Work effectively with a PMO and Project team and associated structures. Lead/Contribute to activities related to solution technical review, design, configuration and development post-sale. Interface/Collaborate with business/customers/partners to understand the scope and requirements. Collaborate with Hitachi Energy Product Teams to align customer requirements with current and future solution capabilities. Develop/Contribute to and implements policies, procedures, and solution principals to ensure that systems support the organization\'s business requirements and meet the needs of end users. Lead/Contribute to design sessions in prototyping new systems for enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow. Manage competing priorities to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously. Understand fixed and or mobile plant assets in terms of their installation, operation, management, and maintenance. Minimum of 4 years\' experience in an Asset Performance/Reliability Management or similar area in customer or vendor organizations. Knowledge of fundamental statistics. Experience in functional architecture of enterprise software solutions Experience within an asset intensive industry; specifically, utilities, transportation, public infrastructure preferable. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting experience. Ability to demonstrate outstanding mentoring skills and to support peers and colleagues to achieve targeted results. Strong understanding of integration best practices and excellent relationship skills working with business leaders, stakeholders, infrastructure team and various development teams across the organization. Ability to lead, direct, advise and guide other business and technical staff. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability and confidence to develop and present to senior audiences. The ability to identify business drivers and work with a project team to propose practical solutions. Extensive experience identifying and managing project issues and risks, including mitigation strategies and plans. A demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders who they are not directly responsible (customer and Hitachi Energy) to achieve the objectives of the project. An ability to produce documentation and collateral and to develop Hitachi Energy\'s excellence in project delivery capability and methodologies. Ability to travel both interstate and internationally as required. Relevant industry recognized technical certifications desirable.
