Job Description

Application Developer Specialist II are business, function, or process specialists and can be technology generalists or specialists. They demonstrate the ability to clearly express and share ideas and risks both verbally and written, in a positive and effective manner to their supervisor and team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide analytical and technical expertise within an assigned business unit/area, usually as a member of a project team, in the analysis, design, development and implementation of business application
• Collaborate with company customers, staff members, IT colleagues, and other partners to define detailed customer requirements and system interfaces, assess available technologies, and develop and present viable solution options
• Evaluate application software packages, as well as other alternatives and make recommendations to management
• Have an understanding of new technologies and coding languages and ability to articulate their value to the larger IT Organization
• Translate business requirements into software, communications, and equipment requirements for application development
• Prepare detailed specifications from which applications will be written
• Build, modify, and test programming code themselves or provide technical consulting support on projects or system issues
• Supervise the creation of source code, operations, and user documentation

• A four-year degree or higher in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Chemistry, IT or equivalent experience or equivalent technical training
• 5 years+ of IT or a related field experience
• Demonstrable experience and knowledge in VB.NET or ASP and ASP.NET, SQL DML and DDL.
• Highly preferable if you have Bootstrap and Angular, MVC and MVVM, Entity Framework, SSIS and SQL tools, ORACLE DML, DDL and DCL.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical writing
• Must be comfortable working remotely
• Ability to mentor and advise others and that you have done so on multiple projects, some of which are outside the area of immediate expertise
• Understanding of the Agile development methodology Project Management Skills
