DESIGNATION : Application Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES
You will involve in the pre & post-sales phase, supporting the SEA Sales Team, to formulate & deliver customized solutions through maximizing the use of Phoenix Contact products, so as to achieve profitability and growth in market share. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To provide pre-sales engineering support to qualify opportunities beyond standard components needs by maximizing the deployment of bundled Phoenix Contact solutions, aiming at optimizing the total cost of ownership for the customer and/or providing unique customer benefits through combining the strength of the complete Phoenix Contact product range.
  • Provide application-oriented technical support to the Industrial Sales Engineers and their Analyse application requirements and derive an optimal solution that meets the requirements with competitive cost.
  • Comprehensively support the customer from project planning till implementation. Ensure that our products and their unique features are specified in projects, end users and consultants to technically safeguard our position against competition.
  • Conduct regular application workshops and trainings to sales, marketing, partners and In this context promote latest technology and application trends as well as their deployment in Phoenix Contact products and services.
  • Participate in industry specific associations and exchange of industry specific trends and developments within the division.
  • Support marketing activities in seminars, trade shows, conferences and other marketing events, including designing and/or revamping of products static and active displays.
  • Maintain a sound technical/application knowledge base on all products.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve individual, team and departmental objectives, sharing knowledge and skills as appropriate.
  • Demonstrate a positive and flexible approach to changing business priorities.


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in an Electrical Engineering/technical related field or equivalent
  • 4+ years pre-sales, direct sales or consulting experience as an estimator, proposal engineer, project or application engineering focused position
  • Experience in Solutions Selling background
  • Demonstrate understanding of Automation application and products including PLC, Software, Networks and ideally good knowledge of third party products (such as Junction Boxes and Panelling Solutions)
  • Strong solution and application expertise, and related demonstrated sales experience
  • Strong supporter of our customer centricity. Understands the importance of demonstrating concern for satisfying customers
  • Ability to set, being accountable for and achieve challenging targets
  • Ability to influence, empower, coach, and motivate others
  • Ability to adapt communication style and messaging to different audiences
