About the Role



We are seeking an experienced

Remote Accountant

to support our Singapore Finance Department. The ideal candidate must have

prior experience working in Singapore

or

supporting a Singapore-based company remotely

. You will handle daily accounting operations, statutory compliance, and financial reporting in accordance with Singapore accounting standards.

This role requires strong independence, attention to detail, and excellent time management in a remote setup.

Key Responsibilities



Manage and process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) in accordance with Singapore requirements. Perform general ledger functions including accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset management. Support month-end and year-end closing to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Prepare monthly financial statements, including unbilled revenue and advance billing reports. Prepare closing schedules and ensure all reports are submitted on time. Support audits, GST submissions, and other statutory compliance requirements in Singapore. Maintain accurate financial records, trial balances, and basic financial statements. Assist in preparing simple consolidated financial statements when required. Record and process business transactions (sales, purchases, cash flow). Ensure proper classification and coding in the accounting system. Generate financial and management system reports for review. Maintain organised digital documentation and filing of accounting records. Participate in system enhancement projects, testing, and other ad-hoc finance initiatives. Perform any additional duties assigned to support the Finance Department.

Requirements



Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.

Must have worked in Singapore or remotely supported a Singapore company.

Strong understanding of Singapore accounting standards, GST, and statutory compliance. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word). Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks remotely. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proactive problem-solving attitude with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Able to support outside regular hours during peak periods (e.g., month-end closing) 12 months contract

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
