Job Duties: 1. Applicants should have demonstrated personal quality in the following areas: analytical, detail, logical and strategic thinking, good time management, willing to pursue continuous improvement, strong teamwork and excellent communication. 2. Responsible for receiving samples, examining the samples, accepting the samples in the LIMS. 3. Schedule the analytical work in an organized manner to ensure test reports are issued to client on a timely basis 4. Operate and maintain the analytical equipment such as GC, HPLC, IC, ICPOES, UV-Vis Spectrophotometer in optimized conditions to improve the detection sensitivity 5. Perform the analytical work optimally with minimum wastage 6. Able to analyse and correlate the analytical data using statistical tools 7. Maintain good laboratory practices to ensure good accuracy and precision is achieved in the analytical result. 8. Familiar with sources of information about test methods and regulatory specifications for various scopes of analysis within the Lab (Chemistry and Microbiology) 9. Familiar with the ISO 17025 requirements 10. Identify, classify, maintain, and protect files, documentation and sensitive information consistent with record handling and retention requirements. 11. Good organizational skills and ability to work independently in a fast paced and deadline driven environment. 12. Use of LIMS database for local software support. 13. Communicate and present effectively with organized facts and data 14. Follows all laboratory safety rules and reports any possible hazards to the Lab Office Supervisor and/or Lab Manager 15. Performs other duties as requested by the superior 16. Keeps current with changes in Laboratory procedures 17. Daily assignments are completed within 8 working hours 18. Able to determine priorities when organizing daily assignments 19. Can be counted on to carry out instructions and fulfill job responsibilities 20. Can be counted on to report to work as scheduled 21. Maintains good interpersonal relationships with co-workers and with people in general 22. The ideal candidate will have a business-oriented background. 23. Familiar with Microsoft Office software, excellent computer/reporting skills. 24. Proficiency in Excel is especially preferred. 25. All candidates must be Malaysia citizens or permanent residents and be able to read, write, and speak the English language proficiently. Candidate who can converse in Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese would be an added advantage.
