Job Overview
The Concert Production Manager oversees all technical and logistical aspects of concert production -- from planning and budgeting to execution and post-show wrap-up. They ensure the show runs smoothly, safely, on schedule, and within budget, coordinating between artists, venue, crew, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Pre-Production Planning
Collaborate with promoters, artist management, and venue representatives to define production requirements.
Develop detailed production plans, schedules, and technical riders.
Create and manage production budgets, including cost estimates for stage, lighting, sound, and staffing.
Source, negotiate, and coordinate suppliers (sound, lighting, staging, video, backline, rigging, etc.).
Conduct site visits and venue inspections to assess logistics, power, access, and safety needs.
2. Onsite Production Management
Oversee load-in, setup, soundcheck, show, and load-out.
Supervise production crew, including stagehands, lighting, sound, and video technicians.
Ensure technical systems meet artist rider specifications.
Coordinate closely with tour managers, stage managers, and venue operations.
Manage show-day schedules and resolve real-time issues under pressure.
Maintain adherence to safety, health, and venue regulations.
3. Financial & Administrative Duties
Track production expenses and manage petty cash reconciliation.
Approve supplier invoices and crew timesheets.
Ensure compliance with insurance, permits, and safety documentation.
Prepare post-show production reports and cost summaries.
4. Team Leadership & Communication
Lead production meetings and technical briefings.
Serve as main liaison between artist teams, promoters, venue operations, and contractors.
Foster a professional, efficient, and safe working environment for all crew and talent.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Diploma or degree in Event Management, Production, Technical Theatre, or related field (preferred).
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in live concert or event production management.
Strong technical knowledge of stage, lighting, sound, and video systems.
Excellent organizational, budgeting, and multitasking skills.
Proven ability to lead diverse teams under time pressure.
Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel and work irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Freelance
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
