Warehouse, Haulage & Transportation Operations
Oversee end-to-end operations of warehouse, haulage, and transportation activities across all sites, ensuring service excellence and operational continuity.
Monitor daily inbound/outbound activities, container movements, and storage optimization to ensure timely and accurate execution.
Lead fleet and warehouse resource planning, route optimization, space utilization, and inventory accuracy.
Ensure seamless coordination between warehouse, transport, and customer delivery schedules.
Implement and enforce SOPs to maintain high operational standards in all logistics activities.
P&L Management & Cost Control
Manage departmental budgets and full P&L accountability for warehouse, haulage, and transport operations.
Analyze financial performance and drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining service levels.
Control operational expenditures, including fuel, maintenance, labor, and subcontracting, to maximize profitability.
Monitor and report on financial KPIs, working closely with the Finance team to ensure alignment with business goals.
Commercial & Customer Engagement
Support commercial teams in developing customer solutions and pricing strategies for haulage and logistics services.
Engage with key clients to understand operational needs, resolve service issues, and maintain customer satisfaction.
Identify and evaluate opportunities for service expansion or value-added solutions based on market trends and customer feedback.
Collaborate with business development and sales to support bids, presentations, and contract negotiations.
Operational Efficiency & Reporting
Develop and maintain internal reporting systems, analyzing key performance metrics to assess operational effectiveness.
Provide insights and regular reports to senior management, enabling data-driven decision-making.
Drive performance improvement through benchmarking, dashboards, and KPI tracking.
Safety & Compliance
Establish, implement, and oversee safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure environment across all sites.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and legal requirements (e.g., OSHA, APAD, JPJ, DOSH, DOE).
Promote a culture of continuous improvement through engagement, innovation, and accountability.
Maintenance & Equipment Management
Oversee maintenance of fleet and warehouse equipment (e.g., Prime Movers, trailers, forklifts) to ensure operational readiness.
Manage service contracts, vendor relationships, and preventive maintenance programs.
Ensure minimal downtime and optimal asset lifecycle management.
IT & Systems Optimization
Collaborate with IT to enhance logistics, warehouse, and transport management systems (WMS, TMS, GPS, etc.).
Support automation and digitalization projects to improve accuracy, efficiency, and traceability.
Recommend and implement tech upgrades to streamline operations and reporting.
Business Development & Strategic Initiatives
Support identification of new business opportunities and service models.
Assist in planning and executing strategic growth initiatives.
Align operational capabilities with evolving market demands and customer needs.
Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization
Lead process improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.
Analyze workflows to eliminate inefficiencies, reduce costs, and improve turnaround times.
