Job Description



  • To manage all lawyers\xe2\x80\x99 and employees\xe2\x80\x99 records. The records are to be kept in a manner sufficient for external audits by the Firm\xe2\x80\x99s auditors as well as any statutory bodies. The records include but are not limited to personal data, employment letters or contracts, any letters relating to the employee issued during the tenure in the Firm, CVs, payroll records, statutory data, etc.
  • To organize, retain, and archive files in the HR Department. Ensure files are kept properly, clearly labeled, and tracked if the files are moved.
  • To manage all recruitment activities in the Firm, from resource planning, job description, job advertisement, candidate selection, interviews, employment offers, and pre-employment medical check-ups to onboarding the new employees.
  • To conduct exit interviews for resigned employees and provide feedback to the EXCO.
  • To be involved in all aspects of remunerations and benefits activities of the Firm including Annual Salary Reviews and Bonuses (Talent Management Program), market/industry/role benchmarking/ownership of employees\xe2\x80\x99 handbook, etc.
  • To manage Employee Self Service (ESS).
  • To manage and monitor employees\xe2\x80\x99 attendance.
  • Employee engagement, a conduit between EXCO/Partners and Employees.
  • To organize and/or conduct internal and external training e.g., Harassment-Free Workplace Training, Drivers\xe2\x80\x99 Training, etc.
  • To manage Firms\xe2\x80\x99 healthcare programs and employee life-related insurance e.g., Healthmetrics, Group Hospitalisation & Surgical (GHS), Group Term Life (GTL), and Group Personal Accident (GPA), etc.
  • To manage all activities related to Payroll including monthly salary calculations, deductions, income tax and other statutory payments, allowances, overtime calculations, unpaid leave, EA Forms, etc.
  • Any other duties normally expected of an HR Manager.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum Qualification: Diploma or Degree in the related field of study.
  • Good spoken and written command in English and Malay.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR practice with at least 5 years in a supervisory position.
  • Has managed a small team (between 2-4 members).
  • Hands-on with a no-nonsense attitude, eye for detail and analytical.
  • Work independently, proactive, and good with problem-solving.
  • Patient and good listener with a sense of humour.
  • Ability to multi-task with concurrent and multiple lines of reporting.
