Assistant Logistics Manager

Job Description

Job Responsibility:
Ensure on time delivery from local and overseas' suppliers to meet production schedule planning and production requirement.
Monitoring the shipment status and coordinates with the suppliers, agents, and internal stakeholders for custom clearance and to meet expected delivery time.
Liaise with relevant authorities such as Customs, MIDA, MITI for various import and export applications.
Coordinate with various departments internally and externally on custom application matters.
Manage application and renewal of Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) and ensure fulfilment of LMW requirements.
Prepare accurate monthly and yearly report for submission to the LMW Custom Officer in a timely manner.
Perform compliance audit on permits and forms associated with the LMW regulations.
Prepare and update comprehensive documentation of LMW operating procedures and compliance as to when needed.
Liaise with Custom Malaysia for any new changes in regulations.
Responsible for all the documentations prepared by supply chain and logistic based on the guidelines and formats as required by Royal Malaysian Customs from time to time.
Manage internal and external parties to ensure smooth execution of shipments(Import/Export).
Co-ordinate with forwarders and haulage agents to ensure efficient and timely movement of shipments.
Drive for freight cost reduction and shipment consolidation to reduce handling charges.
Ensure accurate and timely submission of shipping documents to shipping agent and customers.
Monitor and drive for improvement on shipping lead time.
Work effectively across the organizations to ensure successful execution of supply chain support on many integrated efforts.
Any other duties as assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least Diploma or degree in Logistics or Supply Chainmanagement or related field.
At least 3 years of working experience in the related field is required.
Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia.
Ability to communicate orally and written in a professional manner.
Able to work well with management and with staff of all levels.
Preferably Executives specializing in Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalent.
Experience in handling LMW license is required.
A positive attitude with ability to work independently.
Able to commence work immediately will be an added advantage.
