The newly established entity, Mercedes-Benz Parts Logistics Asia Pacific, will be part of the global Mercedes-Benz Group After-Sales supply chain network, covering the regional distribution hub, regional Asia Pacific functions and the center of competence supply chain steering Asia Pacific. The future Regional Logistics Centre is currently under construction and will start operations in 2023. The future Regional Logistics Centre (RLC) in Senai (Johor Bahru) will be a key facility in the global GSP Parts Logistics Network and will serve as a distribution site for spare parts to 24 countries in the Asia Pacific region. It will take care of the importation, the storage as well as the regional management of spare part and accessories distribution.

Your tasks & responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the accounting functions of Account Receivables to fulfill the business operation requirements.
  • Key responsible accounting person in overseeing the handling and the execution of accounting receivables functions of vehicle wholesale.
  • Responsible for managing reporting and analysis of Account Receivables for business decision making.
  • Key responsible for debt management of all receivables and ensuring dunning processes are executed timely.
  • Responsible for managing and monitoring all Parts and Non-Trade Related billing and collection.
  • Responsible on the handling the Financial Checks for customers.
  • Liaising with SSC on the management of customer, reconciliation, and other associated tasks to accounts receivables.
  • Assist in month end closing, MIF Reporting, Statutory Reporting, and Flash Report preparation.
  • Responsible on the action on the timely collection of debts from sales to achieve the department collection target.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reporting in compliance to the IFRS standard.
  • Responsible for time-to-time analysis on all GL accounts and enhancement for a high accuracy & quality financial report.
  • Assist in engaging, coordinating, and managing the discussion with the external auditor to ensure the completeness, timeliness, and high quality audited financial statement.
  • Support the staff costs related accounting matters with HR, Controlling and HQ to ensure the staff costs is correctly and timely in financial statement.
  • Coordinate and manage the internal controls (ICS) for Accounting Team independently to ensure controls are in order and complied with MBAG policies.
  • Collaboration with business stakeholders on the ad-hoc project handling.
Job Requirements:
  • Degree / Advanced Diploma in Accountancy.
  • Professional qualification in Accountancy and Finance (ACCA/ACCA Finalist) will be added advantage.
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant working experiences.
  • Experience in credit management will be an added advantage.
  • Familiar with billings and collection processes.
  • Experience in SAP system.
  • Strong accounting knowledge.
  • Good with Excel.
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability.
  • Possess strong compliance towards work.
  • Possess strong drive for solutions to situations and problems.
  • Independent and self-driven personality.
  • Professional in approach to work environment.
  • Able to conduct work and business discussions across departments in a professional manner.
  • Able to assist to complete review and reporting submissions timely and in an organized and professional way.
  • Strong computer application knowledge.
  • Good communications skills (verbal and written) in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Other languages are of an added advantage.
