This position is essential for managing all customer needs from inquiry to cargo delivery at the Penang (PEN) hub, building strong business relationships, and providing quotations to new prospects. It oversees sales and marketing efforts at PEN to achieve revenue targets, optimize flight loads, and execute strategic plans. The role also involves coordinating with customers and freight forwarders to meet revenue goals, identifying new market opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
This position is needed to drive cargo sales growth, ensure smooth operations, and deliver excellent customer service. Key Accountability
Manage all aspects of customer needs including inquiry, response and service recovery from point of acceptance till delivery of cargo in Penang (PEN) hub station.
Leading and managing teams, providing direction, support, and motivation to achieve company goal.
Builds and maintains strong business relationships with clients. Provides quotations to new prospects in line with guidelines, risk management, and underwriting profitability.
Working closely with others department such as operations mainly at PEN and KUL, as well as others station, Revenue Management and Capacity Planning.
Overseeing customer service and satisfaction, addressing any issues or complaints, and ensuring that customer needs are met.
Develop and oversee the Penang (PEN) station's sales and marketing efforts, including achieving target sales revenue, executing strategic plans, and managing yield and flight load factors as established by headquarters.
Establish strong relationships and coordinate with customers and freight forwarders on commercial and operational matters to meet requirements for generating revenue and achieving positive yield outcomes.
Identifying new market segments and addressing existing ones, making sales calls and presentations, formulating and implementing sales procedures, and ultimately achieving the cargo sales targets for the assigned product.
Assists in developing, coordinating, and implementing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards. Identifies strategic goals by collecting relevant business, financial, service, and operational information.
Monitoring key performance indicators (KPI) to access the efficiency and effectiveness of commercial team PEN.
Preparing and presenting commercial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendation for improvement.
Qualification & Working Experience
Bachelors degree or diploma in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain and Logistics, or STPM or a related field.
Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in freight forwarding is required, with a thorough understanding of all related processes and documents
Area of Experience
Experienced in working with cargo airlines, forwarding agents, or factories within the logistics sector. .
