Our opportunity for you:

We have an exciting opportunity for experience professional to join our Client Acceptance team

The position is to assist the Client Acceptance Team Senior Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the Client Acceptance team within the Shared Service Centre (SSC) supporting the onboarding of clients for various business sectors. As part of the client lifecycle, the team will also be responsible to conduct periodic reviews of clients, and this includes daily screening of client data against Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) and any other compliance/regulatory requirements.

This role reports to the Client Acceptance Team Senior Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and Escalations
  • Support the Client Acceptance Team Senior Manager to perform 4-eye checks on the assessment completed by the preparer and approve low and medium risk cases.
  • Escalate high risk and PEP cases to VBC (Vistra Business Committee) for approval.
  • Escalate issues and potential reportable event/breach to Senior Manager of Client Acceptance Team.
  • Daily Ongoing Monitoring
  • Perform 4-eye checks on daily ongoing monitoring/screening hits and ensure that the hits are cleared on timely basis and accurately by the preparers.
  • Consolidate the daily ongoing monitoring/screening hits clearance and prepare the report.
  • Process Improvements and Projects
  • Actively review operational performance, identify trends, and assess opportunities for improvement and adoption of best practices
  • Support the Client Acceptance Team Senior Manager on any other ad-hoc tasks and project work as assigned.
  • Service Delivery
  • Consolidate the summary report for weekly onboarding call with business.
  • Consolidate the response from the team on the findings from Compliance audit sampling.
  • Manage Client Acceptance Team group mailbox.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure all operational, administrative and compliance function are duly executed in accordance to established policies and procedures.
Relevant Experience & Skills:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations management
  • Possess 5 years of Know Your Client, Customer Due Diligence or Name Screening experience in a finance institution or equivalent function
  • AML experience and good understanding of compliance and MAS regulatory requirements in Singapore is an added advantage
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate to senior management, direct reports and across other business units and support functions
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent time management, good organisation skills and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and to excel under pressure for meeting any tight deadlines
Education/Professional Qualifications:
  • University Graduate with Bachelor of Law/Accounting/Business/Economics/Finance and related academic qualifications
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications (Word,Excel, PowerPoint)
