We are looking for a passionate Assistant Manager, Cybersecurity Management who will be responsible to serves as organization\xe2\x80\x99s expert on cybersecurity protection, detection, response, and recovery as well as to be responsible for planning and implementing programs that protect organizations from cyber threats, as well as identify current security threats and predict future attacks.

This person will be working with Wilhelmsen Ship Management, a comprehensive global maritime group providing over half of the merchant fleet with essential products and services, along with supplying crew and technical management to the largest and most complex vessels ever to sail.

The position will be located at Kuala Lumpur Sentral in the heart of Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and it is easy to get to by public transportation. This position will report to Head of Business Application & IT.

Formal authorities
  • Manage and follow up on cybersecurity Incidents reported via ServiceNow system or directly from WSM staffs and vessels related to Vessel IT support scope.
  • Continuous optimizing of cybersecurity management on board vessels and from shore.
  • Monitor cybersecurity health for IT systems supported and provide relevant reports accordingly.


Main responsibilities and tasks

  • Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, protocols and procedures. Detail out the security incident response program.

  • Audit policies and controls continuously.

  • Plan and coordinate cybersecurity operations. Monitor all operations and infrastructure, going through alerts and logs to keep an eye on organization\xe2\x80\x99s digital security footprint.

  • Ensuring penetration test is performed according to plan. Working with relevant parties to remediate risks identified and prepare necessary reports as required.

  • Coordinate staff when responding to cybersecurity emergencies and alarms.

  • Review reports on cybersecurity incidents and breaches.

  • Investigate and resolve cybersecurity issues.

  • Work with different departments in the organization to reduce cybersecurity risk.

  • Create reports for management on security status.

  • Analyse data to form proposals for improvements.


Accountabilities

This position will be measured against:

  • Response to a cybersecurity Incident reported, coordination of the Incident until resolution.

  • Completeness and effectiveness of security tools and technology implemented.

  • Compliance to internal policy and external regulation compliance.

  • Completeness and availability of cybersecurity policies, protocols and procedures.

  • Awareness of cybersecurity program for vessels, as well as shore users for applications supported.

  • Completion of vulnerability patching for vessel\xe2\x80\x99s computers and servers from shore.


Qualifications
Mandatory requirements

  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, or other equivalents.

  • Minimum 5 years of working experiences in related to cybersecurity domain.

  • Well-versed in cybersecurity risks and threats to an organization with good knowledge of effective mitigation measures.

  • Ability to respond to emergency scenario swiftly and appropriately.

  • Good interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and supervisory skill

  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) combined with professional telephone manner.


Additional preferences

  • Experience in penetration testing and report drafting.

  • Experience in Forensics and Incident Response.

  • Possess any IT related certifications will be a plus.
