Job Summary

Support budget planning and control processes, including the preparation of monthly management accounts, annual budgets, variance analyses, and student enrolment forecasts. Prepare comprehensive financial and sustainability reports for senior leadership, including presentations for Executive and Board-level committees. Oversee end-to-end financial operations such as accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, cash flow management, audits, tax planning, and tender evaluations. Lead Business Intelligence (BI) initiatives by developing data-driven solutions, simulations, visualizations, and sustainable business models to strengthen strategic decision-making. Collaborate with departments to ensure accurate costing of projects, programs, and activities, supporting sound and sustainable financial decisions. Drive the digital transformation of financial operations by upgrading legacy systems, improving reporting capabilities, optimizing fixed asset management, and streamlining workflows. Implement financial strategies aligned with organizational objectives while promoting continuous improvement in policies, systems, and staff competencies. Contribute to and support strategic planning initiatives within the Finance, Budget, and Administration (FBA) Unit.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a business-related field from a recognized institution. Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in a commercial or audit environment, including at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity. Professional qualification or membership (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, MICPA, MIA) is an added advantage. Proficiency in digital and analytical tools such as Power BI, Tableau, UiPath, Python, or similar platforms. Strong competencies in business analysis, budgeting and forecasting, internal controls, process improvement, and risk management.
