Job Description


The Assistant HR Manager (HR Generalist) will play a pivotal role who builds strong partnerships with leaders and HQ HR team to develop and execute the people strategies. Our HR Generalist team builds collaborative relationships with their stakeholders as a trusted HR advisor for the Malaysia distribution business to achieve the company\'s objectives. Responsibilities will include various HR functions, such as recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and HR administration, employee engagement. S/he will serve as a bridge between HQ HR, Management and Employees to ensure compliance with the labour laws and companies\' policies while promoting a supporting work environment in our Malaysia Office. Responsibilities: HR Generalist: To serve as the voice and representative of the Human Resources department within our organization. You will act as a liaison between HR leadership, employees, and stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication of HR policies, initiatives, and objectives. To provide and guarantee the timely upkeep of weekly and monthly reporting. To provide professional advice on the interpretation of HR policies and procedures including but not limited to the following areas such as employment legislation, talent management, performance management, recruitment, manpower planning, rewards strategies, and employee engagement. To manage end to end HR activities in relation to recruitment, promotion, redesignation, internal transfer between departments or entities, onboarding and offboarding, and induction for new employees. To educate the line managers and employees on policy/ system changes and implications, as well as understand and gather their feedback and input. To identify and drive the communication and sharing of best practices across functions to facilitate continuous improvement. To provide support in reviews of relevant Standard Operating Procedures and work processes to improve process workflows and practices for the Company. To foster a culture of engagement, morale, positive workplace relationships, and heightened productivity and staff retention. To be competent in job evaluation and salary computation To manage the performance management processes, including guiding reporting managers on effective feedback mechanisms and championing a high-performance culture. To collate attendance/leave records and handle HR-related matters such insurance and training bonds/ medical schemes/ training and employee records. To manage the monthly payroll processing for Malaysia and monthly submission of payroll reports to HQ HR for approval. To support in handling statutory related matters e.g. government paid leave claims and EPF related submissions. To ensure all compliance and governance requirements relating to people matters to ensure risks are effectively managed for Malaysia subsidiaries. Other Administrative duties: To review flights and accommodation, transportation for the company staff and guests To manage the maintenance and upkeep of office facilities and office equipment/assets. To purchase and prepare office and marketing, stationery, and pantry supplies. Requirements Bachelor\'s degree in Business/ Human Resource from a recognized university with at least 4-6 years of relevant working experience as a HR Generalist including payroll processing. Good Knowledge of Malaysia\'s Employment Act and Labour Laws. High proficiency in in MS Office applications such as Excel and Powerpoint. Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details and accuracy. Able to multi-task and work independently in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Good executor with proven track-records, analytical, resourceful and meticulous. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with strong ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels. Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability according to changing needs and priorities. Collaborative and is comfortable working in a matrix structure with multiple priorities. Resourceful and possess strong initiative to drive changes. Ability to work independently as well as be active team members within and across the HR team.
