Assist the Centre Director in managing the daily operations of the centre, including resource allocation, scheduling, and facilities management.
Coordinate logistics for, events, workshops, seminars, academic programs and research projects organised by the centre.
Media & Advocacy Coordination:
Assist the Centre Director in coordination with faculty, researchers, and different departments within the university to facilitate the planning, implementation, and monitoring of advocacy initiatives, including various publication channels and social media.
Facilitate the dissemination of research outcomes through publications, presentations, and knowledge exchange activities.
Financial and Budget Management:
Assist in budget planning and financial management for the centre, ensuring adherence to university guidelines and policies.
Monitor expenditures, prepare financial reports, and assist with grant proposals and funding applications.
Coordinate procurement processes, contracts, and vendor management for supplies and services.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, faculty, researchers, industry partners, and funding agencies.
Assist in organizing and participating in meetings, workshops, and collaborations to support centre initiatives and partnerships.
Contribute to the development of communication materials, reports, and presentations to engage stakeholders and showcase centre achievements.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with university policies, ethical guidelines, and legal requirements related to centre activities.
Assist in the preparation of progress reports, metrics, and documentation to monitor the centre\'s performance and meet reporting obligations.
Work closely with the Centre Director to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of centre activities, grants, and publications.
Qualifications and Skills:
A bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field is required. Experience with family business is preferred.
Proven experience in coordination, project management, or a related role within an academic or research environment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in using relevant software and technology tools for centre management and administration.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
