We are seeking an Assistant Manager, Trade Services to ensure accurate and timely processing of trade transactions while complying with policies and guidelines. The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying and inputting trade transactions, authorizing trade transactions, preparing product checklists, and monitoring past due bills. This role reports to the Line Manager and the successful candidate will be based at our Kota Kinabalu Trade Services Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

Functional

• Ensure accuracy and timely processing of trade transactions while complying with policies and guidelines.
• Verify and input trade transactions and authorize within specified limits in TE2000 system.
• Assist in auditing at customer premises/at TSC for Summary Listing of Invoices (under Business Activity(BA) / Input VAT File(IVF) / Output File of Commercial Ledger(OFCL)
• Liaise with customers and Global Markets Division on exchange rates, troubleshoot trade-related issues.
• Ensure General Ledger (GL) figures are reconciled regularly.

Managerial

• Ensure timelines for processing transactions are met.
• Identify risks in trade operations and take appropriate steps to eliminate or minimize these risks.
• Provide job training and coaching to the junior executive.

Job Requirements:

Education/Qualification

• Malaysian citizen
• Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor\'s Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking/Business Administration holder or equivalent.
• 4 years and above work experience in the financial industry with experience in trade operations.

Experience & Skillsets

• Familiar with and have a working knowledge of all regulatory requirements e.g. UCP 600, Exchange Control, AML, etc.
• Good written and oral communication skills and ability to interact effectively with people at different levels.
• PC literate with knowledge in Microsoft Office Appliances.
