Assist the Operations Director in overseeing daily production schedules and ensuring targets for output, quality, and delivery are met.
Monitor production progress and highlight any issues or delays to the Operations Director for timely resolution.
Coordinate between production teams and supporting departments (QA, R&D, logistics, purchasing) to ensure smooth workflow.
2. Team Support and Supervision
Support in supervising production supervisors and operators to ensure compliance with company standards and policies.
Assist in organizing manpower schedules and shift arrangements according to production needs.
Help identify training needs and coordinate training sessions for production staff.
3. Process and Efficiency Improvement
Work with the Operations Director to review and improve production processes for better efficiency and reduced downtime.
Collect and analyze production data to recommend areas for optimization.
Support implementation of lean manufacturing practices and process automation initiatives.
4. Quality and Food Safety
Ensure production activities comply with food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP) and customer requirements.
Liaise with the QA team on quality issues and assist in implementing corrective actions.
Monitor hygiene, safety, and cleanliness within the production area.
5. Inventory and Supply Coordination
Coordinate with Purchasing and Logistics teams to ensure sufficient raw material supply and timely product dispatch.
Assist in monitoring inventory levels and updating the Operations Director on stock status.
6. Equipment Maintenance and Safety Compliance
Support maintenance activities and ensure machinery upkeep to prevent downtime.
Reinforce safety policies and assist in conducting safety briefings and inspections.
7. Reporting and Documentation
Prepare regular production performance summaries for review by the Operations Director.
Maintain proper documentation of production records, maintenance logs, and quality reports.
8. Customer and Interdepartmental Communication
Assist in communicating with the Sales/Customer Service team to align production with order requirements.
Support in addressing production-related issues raised by customers or internal stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a production or operations environment, preferably in food processing.
Good knowledge of production processes, HACCP, and GMP standards.
Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proactive, organized, and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
Familiar with lean manufacturing and process improvement practices.
