Job Description

Assist the Group Security Manager in enforcing company security policies, procedures, and compliance with relevant laws, regulations and industry requirements. Oversee and coordinate daily security operations, including access control, patrolling, surveillance, and safeguarding of plant assets. Supervise, monitor, and evaluate outsourced security personnel to ensure discipline, performance, adherence to duty rosters, post orders, and company standards. Conduct regular inspections of security posts, CCTV monitoring rooms, perimeter fencing, gates, and entry points to ensure operational effectiveness and readiness. Monitor the functionality and performance of security systems--including CCTV, alarm systems, and access control devices--and coordinate preventive maintenance or repair works as required. Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies, ensuring immediate containment and accurate reporting to the immediate superior. Assist in the investigation of security breaches, theft, misconduct, or non-compliance incidents, and prepare factual reports for management review and follow-up action. Liaise with outsourced security service providers on manpower performance, training, deployment, and scheduling to ensure 24-hour operational coverage and service reliability. Maintain and update incident logs, visitor records, and security reports for daily documentation, audits, and compliance purposes. Coordinate security arrangements during plant shutdowns, major deliveries, construction/maintenance activities, and company events. Control access of clients, visitors, vendors, and suppliers by conducting proper screening and authorising entry in accordance with company procedures. Liaise with relevant local authorities, including the police, fire department, and government agencies on security-related matters when necessary. Conduct patrolling of designated areas and report any suspicious activity, safety hazards, or potential security breaches. Safeguard the company's core assets, property, and personnel by maintaining a safe and secure environment at all times. Assist in preparing and submitting prescribed monthly, weekly, and daily reports on security inspections, incident trends, and outsourced agency performance. Perform any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the Group Security Manager or Management from time to time. Bachelor's Degree in Security Management, Law Enforcement or other security related qualifications. Minimum of 5 years' working experience in security operations, law enforcement or security related environment. Strong knowledge and experience in Emergency Response Planning and Business Continuity operations. Comprehensive understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and law enforcement procedures. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and email communication. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities. Strong leadership capability with proven experience in supervising, motivating, and developing security teams while maintaining discipline and professionalism. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with management, staff, visitors, contractors, and external authorities. Experience in recommending, deploying, and utilising security technologies such as CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and monitoring systems. High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information. Willing to be based in Pulau Indah, Selangor.
