Job Description

Key Responsibilities:



1. Assist in Daily Site Supervision

-Support the Site Agent in overseeing daily construction activities at site.

-Monitor progress of subcontractors and ensure site works follow schedule and specifications.

-Check that manpower, machinery, and materials are utilized efficiently.

2. Site Coordination

-Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to resolve day-to-day site issues.

-Ensure construction drawings, method statements, and work instructions are understood and followed on-site.

-Follow up on site instruction compliance.

3. Monitoring & Quality Control

-Conduct site inspections to ensure that works are carried out according to JKR standards, specifications, and quality requirements.

-Assist in preparing inspection requests (IRs) and ensure rectification of any defects or non-conformance.

-Ensure proper handling and storage of materials on-site.

4. Documentation & Reporting

-Maintain a site diary/log book for daily work records, weather, manpower, and activities.

-Prepare and submit daily/weekly progress reports to the Site Agent or Project Manager.

-Update material delivery and usage records.

5. Safety & Housekeeping

-Monitor compliance with safety regulations, PPE usage, and site cleanliness.

-Report unsafe conditions or near-miss incidents to Safety Supervisor and Site Agent.

-Assist in enforcing proper access, signage, and housekeeping on site.

6. Drawing & Technical Review

-Assist in reviewing shop drawings and method statements before implementation.

-Ensure the construction team understands the drawings and technical instructions.

7. Material Tracking

-Monitor delivery, quantity, and usage of construction materials.

-Liaise with storekeeper and procurement team to prevent material shortages or delays.

8. Inspection & Handover

-Assist in preparing for consultant inspections and official visits.

-Help in compiling site documents for handover, including checklists and as-built inputs.

Minimum Requirements:



-Diploma in Civil Engineering / Construction Management / Architecture or equivalent.

-Minimum 1-3 years experience in construction, preferably in government or JKR projects.

-Able to read and understand construction drawings and schedules.

-Willing to work full-time at site (Pulau Sayak, Kedah) and under minimal supervision.

-Strong communication and coordination skills.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: RM1,900.79 - RM3,645.51 per month
