Description Primary Objective: Primary coverage of some ASEAN economies, such as Indonesia. Provide econometric & statistical inputs to the team\'s economic, fixed income, & FX forecasts. In addition, support Group Chief Economist in covering China & Global markets. Key Responsibilities: Provide support to the Group Chief Economist via quantitative analysis. Supervise, train, guide and coach junior analysts Produce detailed market relevant thematic research including analyzing and forecasting economic trends Generate economic research reports as required Assist in production/coordination of research publications and organization of conferences Assist in client servicing and marketing efforts Attend to requests from dealers and clients including providing strong research support to the Dealing Team Collaborate with Fixed Income and FX Strategists Interact with equity research in order to provide guidance on the economic outlook for the country/countries under coverage. Constantly and regularly update clients to keep abreast with the latest macro developments Contribute to the daily and quarterly publications. Prepare monthly reports on major developed economies and regional economies\' macro developments for RHB Bank\'s Asset & Liabilities Committee (ALCO) meeting when asked Prepare monthly economic reports for RHB Banking Group\'s board meetings when asked Requirements Requirements: Master\'s Degree - . Minimum of Master\'s in Economics with concentration in macroeconomics with several advanced course work in econometrics. PhD in Economics/Econometrics a plus point.. At least 8 years of experience in economics relevant roles in the public and/or private sectors. Eviews Matlab and or Python Bloomberg, CEIC, or WIND Strong time series econometric and programming skills Experience in international or domestic public sector institutions, with an emphasis on thematic research along with forecasting macroeconomic indicators.
