As an Associate Director, Business Continuity Management, you will be part of the Business Continuity Management and Governance Technology Transformation team. This role contributes within a cross-tower team to correlate the Novartis Key Business Processes and the underlying IT assets and ensure agreement on the IT Business Continuity requirements with the different Business Units and the correct IT classification. It will also ensure operational and service excellence within the IT Business Continuity organization.

In this role you\'ll impact upon the continuity of our business operations, supporting our organisation will recover in the case of large-scale events.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

- Support implementation by the Technology Transformation (TT) functions of the Novartis BCM & Novartis Emergency Management (NEM) framework in TT, in line with the BCM & NEM Guideline and Handbook

- Support coordination of the BCM inputs from all relevant TT functions based on scope and defined Critical IT Services

- Supporting implementation of TT BCM & NEM tools, processes and controls

- Supporting TT BCM & NEM team to align with once and IMF controls

- Supporting CIS Managers with the creation of Service Continuity plans and annual testing

- Act as an ambassador for the Global BCM & NEM team in TT and ensure a first line of Support for questions and queries from the different TT functions

- Support TT functions in their annual testing, deficiencies remediation, and re-testing

- Support TT functions and BUs with the correlation of KBPs and underlying IT assets

- Influence overall business continuity strategy & decisions within Novartis and key business leaders and proactively recommend adjustments

- Collect and maintenance of different data required from Application Managers, CIS Managers and TT BCM Communities and ensure prompt communication to those communities

Minimum requirements

WHAT YOU\'LL NEED:

- Bachelor\'s Degree in a Business, IT or Engineering field, or equivalent experience in a related field

- Experience in Business Continuity Management or Corporate Resilience or related field is preferred

- Strong understand of risk management concepts and principles

- Prior experience of leading organisational and change management at scale in complex matrix environments and through globally dispersed teams

- Solid prior experience of leading large, diverse and multi-functional teams

- Strong ability to communicate with senior leadership up to board level

- Proficiency in English (written and oral)

NICE TO HAVE:
- Member Business Continuity Institute (MBCI) qualification

- Prior exposure working in the Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry
