Associate Director, Custody Services (onsite)

Job Description


Responsible for the overall management and leadership of the local Custody Services department, encompassing trade settlement, corporate actions, income processing, account transitions, securities lending, and reconciliations. Oversee a team of up to 50 employees to ensure the timely, accurate, and efficient execution of custody operations while mitigating operational risks. Collaborate closely with global custody counterparts to optimize processes and deliver exceptional client service. The key focus of this role will be to manage operational risks linked to custody operations, develop people and training, and also focus on process streamlining to increase quality and efficiency of the overall custody services. Key Responsibilities: Operational Effectiveness (30%) Develop, implement, and continuously refine comprehensive operating procedures to optimize workflow, processes, and efficiency within the department. Ensure alignment with global standards and best practices. Drive a culture of continuous improvement through data-driven analysis and process optimization. Client Service & Relationship Management (30%) Build and maintain strong client relationships as the primary point of contact. Ensure client satisfaction by delivering on commitments and exceeding expectations. Actively participate in the Transaction Management Functional Working Group to enhance client service delivery. Results Orientation (20%) Set clear goals and expectations for the team. Foster a culture of accountability and ownership. Successfully lead and deliver projects within budget and timeline. Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges. Risk Management (20%) Maintain a strong risk management framework to protect the organization\'s financial and reputational interests. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies. Conduct regular risk assessments and implement effective mitigation strategies. Leadership & Organizational Development (20%) Inspire and motivate the team to achieve organizational goals. Develop and implement talent management strategies, including performance management, career development, and succession planning. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Contribute to the development and execution of business strategies. Qualifications: Experience Seasoned AVP, Senior Managers, Managers who are looking for a developmental progression - who are people managers in their current role. Minimum 10 years of relevant financial services experience, including at least 5 years in a management role. Strong managerial experience in Financial Markets or Custody. Proven track record of managing change and leading high-performance teams. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience in program/project management. Qualifications Business Consultant mindset: Ability to understand both financial and business implications. Preferred: Business or Financial qualification. Skills and Knowledge In-depth understanding of the CACEIS service suite. Proven problem-solving and change management skills. Proficiency in using advanced business information and analytics tools.
