In this role, you will be responsible for scaling ShopBack Malaysia through engaging, effective and innovative marketing strategies with the goal of growing our customer base, nurturing brand loyalty to ShopBack, as well as helping our merchant partners meet their objectives.

You will be responsible for the development and performance of ShopBack\'s overall marketing strategy with a key focus on platform initiatives across business units and product lines, including Online Cashback, Financial Services, and Brand Solutions.

You enjoy challenging the status quo and finding new ways to deliver results, deep diving into problem statements, and working with functional stakeholders to solve real business challenges and raise the bar for the entire team. You\'re creative, analytical and strategic - oftentimes wearing all three hats at once to ensure the business consistently acquires and converts users through successful marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective marketing campaigns and initiatives across online and offline channels with the aim of growing user metrics for the business as well as ensuring success for merchant partners and clients
  • Amplify and demonstrate the brand value of ShopBack to deliver the right messaging to our merchants and consumers
  • Effectively manage all stakeholders responsible for the successful implementation of marketing efforts including internal (business development, account management, local marketing team and cross-functional teams) & external (agencies, partners, merchants) teams
  • Collaborate with and actively support Business Development and Key Account Management teams to ensure merchant partners continue to grow on the the ShopBack platform
  • Own and manage the local budget planning in order to maximize efficiency of the budget across all channels such as campaigns, social media, performance marketing, creative, events, ATL and PR
  • Continuously seek insights on local consumer trends and the activities of competitors, ensuring that ShopBack is always ahead of the game
  • Understand key user, business and marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide reports, analysis, forecasts and ongoing assessments against ShopBack\'s goals
Requirements
  • A strong track record of at least 6 years\' experience in marketing across different channels - digital, on-platform / in-app, offline, performance marketing, partnerships etc.
  • Prior e-Commerce / tech experience is a plus.
  • Experience leading high performing teams with at least 3+ years as a people manager
  • Experience conceptualizing and driving innovative marketing plans with defined objectives
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • A start-up attitude - highly collaborative with an entrepreneurial, roll-up-your sleeves attitude
