About the Role You will be responsible and accountable for overall application development and modernization for a set of IT product solutions (i.e. BPM, Customer Communication, CRM, RPA, Process Automations) in which requires you to deliver, support, communicate and influence the product life cycle & delivery with multiple stakeholders (within IT, third party vendors, business senior leadership team) while aligning to overall company objectives. Champion Agile & quality mindset and lead the change development of a high-performance team for application delivery. Deliver and execute the development, design and implementation of applications modernization and enhancements. Enforce modernize systems and enhancements are adhered to software development life cycle, software quality management and enterprise architecture framework. Ensure application availability with timely resolution of issues and problems. Optimize and prioritize team resources to maximise business value generation. Manage, negotiate and influence relationships with senior leadership team and managers (inter and intra divisional) to deliver credible and consistent solution services. Manage, negotiate and influence vendor, business partner and Group IT relationships to provide delivery flexibility. Lead and influence team culture and governance on cost-efficient, agile and flexible delivery of IT solutions. Identify and develop specialists to build a high performing team to maximize delivery to support business demands. Setting clear direction, goals and engaging staff to translate these into personal actions. Develop, coach, mentor the specialists and high performers through effective learning and development. Job Requirements: More than 10 years of experience leading an application development team. You are expected to lead a team of 10-15 technical specialists and potentially ramping up the contract resources. Strong technical knowledge and experience on (1) Azure cloud application architecture (2) Business Rule Engines (3) BPM, Workflow (4) Content Management System (5) Customer Communication Management (6) SMS/ Email/ WhatsApp API and gateways. Project experience as technology specialist in modernizing application in Azure cloud, SaaS solution implementation, and Agile project implementation. Experience in vendor management on SLA and support maintenance. Strong apprehension on best application and data access coding practices. Strong communication skills with ability to communicate with management team, internal & external stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Domain proficiency in insurance business and its operations. Able to be an effective team lead and player in both waterfall and agile delivery methodology. Able to lead a team to deliver multiple projects of high complexity. Experience in lean process development and design thinking will be added advantage.
