Investigation of frauds, allegations of abuse, complaints from within or outside the Group or any other types of irregularities reported to GCAD in respect of the Group banking activities in Malaysia and regional
Determine whether fraud or irregularity was committed, identify the perpetrator and to determine the Modus Operandi
Review and evaluate the following;
a. Control Environment and the effectiveness of internal controls;
b. Control Activities relating to the operating effectiveness of fraud-related controls to ensure that they are in place;
c. Information and Communication, by assessing the operating effectiveness of information and communication systems and practices;
d. Monitoring, by assessing the monitoring activities and support the development of fraud indicators;
e. Governance Practices, while taking into account the requirements of the Group\'s various internal control policies as well as statutory and regulatory requirements governing the Group and Banking Industry; and
f. Nature and root causes leading to the fraudulent acts, and henceforth to identify the perpetrators and means to enhance internal control processes
To provide specific recommendations regarding appropriate action to be taken in cases of frauds or other irregularities to Group Corporate Resources and/or other affected business units and entities of the Group and suitable recommendations to improve controls so as to prevent recurrence of fraud or irregularity
Preparation of timely and quality investigation report upon completion of investigation
Work with investigating law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies and attend Court Hearings where necessary \xef\x82\xb7 Carry out any other responsibilities/tasks as assigned by the Investigation Department Head from time to time
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and adherence to the Group & GCAD P&P (Note: For Team Leader role, to manage all aspects of audit assignments, including providing supervision and guidance to team members as well as on-the-job training)
