The Opportunity

Our partner, a Chartered Accountant (CA) accounting and advisory firm is looking for an Auditor to join the growing team in Malaysia. As an ethical and sustainable workplace, our partner is a cloud-based accounting firm offering a paperless working environment ensuring efficiencies and an organized working culture.

Key Responsibilities

SMSF

• Audit of SMSF financial statement
• Reviewing trustee compliance with the SIS Act requirements
• Researching complex superannuation issues
• Contributing to internal process improvement
• Prepare work papers, Reference source documents to workpapers
• Issue Engagement Letter (as required), Management letter, Trustee Representation Letter and Management letter.

Trust accounts

• Audit trust accounts for Real Estate Accounts, Conveyancers, Accountants and Solicitors Trust accounts
• Review compliance with relevant legislation
• Researching complex issues
• Contributing to internal process improvement
• Prepare work papers, Reference source documents to workpapers
• Identify and pick sample files/data for audit
• Issue Engagement Letter (as required), Management letter, Representation Letter and Management letter.

Owners Corporations

• Audit accounts
• Review compliance with relevant legislation
• Researching complex issues
• Contributing to internal process improvement
• Prepare work papers, Reference source documents to workpapers
• Identify and pick sample invoices for audit
• Issue Engagement Letter (as required), Management letter, Representation Letter and Management letter.

Not-for-Profit

• Audit accounts
• Review compliance with relevant legislation
• Researching complex issues
• Contributing to internal process improvement
• Prepare work papers, Reference source documents to workpapers
• Identify and pick sample invoices for audit
• Issue Engagement Letter (as required), Management letter, Representation Letter and Management letter.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Australian SMSF / Australian Accounting.
• Commenced CA/CPA program or enrolled is preferred but not essential.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work confidently on your own and within a team.
• Ability to keep up to date with tax changes.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
