JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated solutions for both our on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure. This role is critical in ensuring the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of our Linux and Windows server environments, as well as on-premises infrastructure components.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Cloud and On-Premises Script Creation and Automation: - Develop and maintain automation scripts for both cloud and on-premises infrastructure provisioning and management. This includes platforms like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, as well as on-premises solutions like VMware, Cisco, and F5. - Automate resource provisioning, scaling, and management using cloud-native tools, custom scripts, and specialized technologies for on-premises environments. Utilize Bash for Linux and PowerShell for Windows environments. 2. Ansible Scripting: - Create Ansible playbooks and roles to automate configuration management, software deployment, and system updates across Linux and Windows servers, both in the cloud and on-premises. - Ensure consistent server configurations and manage infrastructure changes with Ansible for both environments. 3. Terraform Scripting: - Develop Terraform scripts to define and provision infrastructure as code for both cloud and on-premises environments, maintaining resources across various platforms. - Manage infrastructure components as code, making it easy to version, replicate, and scale resources in both settings. 4. Infrastructure as Code: - Champion the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles for both cloud and on-premises infrastructure. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define infrastructure requirements, code infrastructure, and maintain version-controlled infrastructure code repositories for all environments. 5. On-Premises Infrastructure Management: - Manage and automate on-premises infrastructure components, including VMware virtualization, Cisco networking, and F5 load balancing, to ensure high availability, security, and performance. - Collaborate with on-premises teams to streamline operations and enhance infrastructure efficiency.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Proven experience in cloud and on-premises automation, with proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and technologies like VMware, Cisco, and F5. - Strong scripting skills with expertise in creating automation scripts in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell. - Solid understanding of Ansible for configuration management and automation in both environments. - Proficiency in Terraform for defining infrastructure as code. - Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git. - Knowledge of Linux and Windows server environments. - Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
