JOB DESCRIPTION

An established company in the automation industry is seeking a dedicated and technically proficient

Automation Systems Engineer (Technical Support)

to join their team.

This role involves providing technical support to clients, designing customized automation solutions, and collaborating with internal engineering teams to deliver high-quality automation systems.

The successful candidate must be open to international assignments and will undergo an initial

3 to 6 months training in China (subject to approval)

to gain hands-on experience with the company's automation systems and processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide prompt technical support to customers both remotely and on-site, ensuring timely resolution of automation system issues. Collaborate with customers to gather requirements and design tailored automation solutions that align with their needs. Conduct feasibility studies, assess technical specifications, and recommend improvements or modifications to existing systems. Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, and troubleshooting procedures. Perform testing, debugging, and validation of automation systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Work closely with internal departments such as software, electrical engineering, and project management to ensure smooth project execution. Stay current with emerging automation technologies, industry developments, and best practices to support continuous improvement initiatives.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience:

Prior experience in technical support and system design within the automation industry. Open to frequent international travel for client site visits and system deployments.

Technical & Soft Skills:

Strong knowledge of automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, motion control, and industrial robotics. Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for automation design. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving complex technical issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with customers and cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently. Proficient in English (spoken and written); Mandarin language proficiency is an added advantage.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
