Job Responsibility Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in vehicles. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections and everything to do with service of a car. Repair or replace damaged or worn-out parts, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and address problems effectively. Perform vehicle inspections to identify potential issues and provide accurate repair recommendations. Follow manufacturer\'s guidelines and specifications while conducting repairs and maintenance tasks. Keep accurate records of all repairs, services performed, and parts used. Collaborate with other team members and share expertise to improve overall garage efficiency. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in automotive technology. Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure the proper disposal of hazardous materials. Job Requirements We are a premium service centre located in Glenmarie, with our expansion plan we are looking for An Automotive Technician Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal automotive technology program is preferred. Apprentice may apply Relevant certifications are a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Proficient in using various diagnostic tools and equipment. Knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and computerized controls. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair guides. Excellent attention to detail and time management skills. Effective communication skills to explain complex technical issues to customers and colleagues. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks, lift heavy objects, and work in various weather conditions. Commitment to safety protocols and guidelines. Work Environment Garage Mechanics typically work in automotive repair shops, garages, or dealership service centers. They may be exposed to varying levels of noise, chemicals, and extreme temperatures. The role involves standing, bending, lifting, and working with tools and equipment.
