About the Department

The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.

Job Responsibilities

• Marketing of branch\xe2\x80\x99s products to expand the branch\xe2\x80\x99s business volume/profitability by having good customer/account relationship management, developing contacts with prospective customers and referral sources such as UOBM, UOBS, various business units within UOB Group, offshore banks and financial institutions.
• Credit assessment of new loans/investments and review of existing loan/investments.
• Structuring credit proposals.
• Putting up credit paper/ application for approval upon GRM\xe2\x80\x99s request.
• Conducting annual review of accounts upon GRM\xe2\x80\x99s request.
• Conform with bank\xe2\x80\x99s polices/procedures
• Ensure that all Applicable Laws, Regulations and Professional Standards (ALRPS) are complied.
• Liaising with & instructing external lawyers on the documentation of credit facilities & structures & security.
• Loan & credit administration i.e. ensure proper documentation and monitoring of the loans and reporting where applicable.
• Loan recovery & restructuring and making the necessary recommendations to preserve the bank\xe2\x80\x99s interest.
• Monitor new developments in the loan market and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines/requirements.
• Prepare various accounts reports & periodic reports such as Potential NPL Reports, Loan Condition Sheet (if any), Top 100 Borrower report and Covenant Tracking Worksheet.
• Co-signing of cheques for payment of approved branch expenses & payments.
• Alternate safe combination of Branch\xe2\x80\x99s safe.

Job Requirements

• Possess a recognised degree or Diploma / Bachelor\'s degree, in any field, from an accredited university / colleges
• Has a strong interest in financial planning, investment and keen to work in a sales driven
• Strong business acumen, proactive and a highly motivated self-starter
• Positive attitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent team work/spirit
