Backend Operations Shift Manager

What we expect

Oversee four crew shifts across WC operations, ensuring alignment with all product family platforms. Lead and motivate production teams to achieve established targets, with full accountability for shift operations, including equipment, process, and production activities. Ensure execution of production plans in accordance with the Line Steering Plan and support WC delivery objectives. Conduct real-time monitoring of production systems and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate efficiency and optimize shift productivity. Maintain responsibility for shift performance metrics, including productivity output, WIP linearity, and WIP hold. Perform data analysis to identify trends and implement improvement initiatives for high WIP holding areas. Exercise sound decision-making and prioritization during night shifts and weekends to address urgent or ad hoc requirements. Provide leadership to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, while driving discipline, attendance management, and adherence to 5S practices on the shop floor.
Who we are looking for

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5 years in production or manufacturing operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Technical knowledge required : + Knowledge of production systems and KPIs
+ Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles
+ Proficiency in data analysis tools and ERP systems
+ Certifications (Preferred): Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
Ability to work night shifts and weekends as needed; strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Leadership & Team Management: Ability to inspire, guide, and develop teams to achieve operational excellence. Decision-Making Under Pressure: Strong judgment and prioritization skills for handling urgent issues during off-hours. Analytical Thinking: Proficiency in data analysis to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities. Process & Equipment Knowledge: Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment functionality, and production systems. Continuous Improvement Mindset: Commitment to driving efficiency, reducing WIP, and implementing best practices. Safety & Quality Compliance: Strong focus on maintaining workplace safety, quality standards, and 5S principles. Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication across shifts and with cross-functional teams.
