Job Description

He/she is responsible for providing courteous and efficient service, supervising and coordinating all the activities all the activities of personnel engaged in preparing drinks and serving of food and drinks to guest at all outlet and function.

Conduct daily pre-service briefings and informs staff of daily specials, specials events and general information. To supervise the bar in details and the arrangement of glasses and equipment attractively. Good knowledge in cocktails & mocktails. To create own signature cocktail/mocktail. To create signature Ice blended beverages. To supervise the preparation of the drinks ordered and ensure that proper service is practices in the Coffee Bar or otherwise required. To spot check stock regularly. To check the opening and closing of bar in accordance with the company policy. To work in a save, hygienic and honest manner. Knowledge of the preparation of drinks and their combinations, the taste and typical requirements of guests. To ensure that the beverage standard operation procedures are being followed. To attend briefing, training and meeting as required. To ensure that orders are handled as quickly as possible with minimum delay. To correct and set service standards for new staff joining. To carry out duties as set by his superior as and when necessary. To be always well groomed and neatly dressed in the prescribed uniform. To relay any guests' complaints, regardless how small, to his superior. To be responsible for the entire control overall existing services bars and profitable functioning of the beverage operation. To be aware of all company policies and enforce them to set a good manner so as encourage fellow employees to do likewise. To list tasks to be done in the existing bars and functions. The time and labour in completing the tasks according to the hours of operation. To be responsible for the proper set-up of the various bars including banqueting. Plan work, assignment based on room occupancy forecast, advanced orders and V.I.P list, adjusts schedule to meet emergencies. To be responsible for functions and all other beverage billing. To check maintenance of all equipment's and request immediate repair where indicated. To perform a bartender's duty whenever is need or necessary. Holds occasional staff meetings and inquiries about problems and suggestion the employees have. Proposes promotion, transfers and personnel actions to F & B Manager. Makes and check duty roster and reports the number of late comers and absentees. Keeps close contact with the Chef on special items to be sold and makes recommendations on guest demand. Assists the F & B Manager in promoting and maintaining good public relations and in attending to inquiries, request and complaints; adjusts minor complaints regarding food and service. Assists superior in training and appraising performance of personnel. Undertakes sales promotional activities such as recommending other hotel outlets or show to guest; sees to it that personnel undertake such activities. Participates in service when necessary, such as in the preparation of specialty dishes and in serving VIP's. Perform other duties as assigned job-related tasks as assigned by the F&B Manager and/or Management.
