Description

The Business Intelligence (BI) team drives organisational performance by supporting management with strategic, commercial and operational decisions.

You mainly undertake but not limited to data/information compilation, analysis and reporting (revenue analysis, pricing & costing strategy, competitive analysis, customer analysis, etc).

Key Responsibilities

• Extract actionable insights to optimize performance across all teams, particularly Marketing, Product, Customer Service, and Production departments.
• Create intuitive yet scalable reports, dashboards and visualizations that business owners can use to drive business processes.
• Translate high-level ideas, assumptions, and hypotheses into projects and experiments to enable key stakeholders to learn as fast and cheap as possible for data-driven decision-making.
• Work with the rest of the BI and Architecture teams on the Data Lake and Data Warehouse development based on stakeholders' requirements.
• Organise regular training sessions to increase data literacy and democratize data analytics, to progress towards a company culture of self-service Business Intelligence

• Demonstrable strategic planning, analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in using analytical tools especially Tableau or Salesforce Einstein Analytics would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge or better yet working experience in SQL (preferably PostgreSQL) are a big plus.
• Passionate in analyzing customers / sales data & able to transform them into insightful analysis for business decisions.
• Strong desire to learn, with intellectual curiosity and proactivity, yet able to execute independently with minimal guidance or collaborate with others in a team.
• Advanced working knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, for example being able to explain why Index Match is better than Vlookup, and able to construct an end-to-end automated BI solution using either tool.
• Good interpersonal skills with strong oral and written communication skills enabling easy communication of technical knowledge to non-technical people.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or other related areas of study.
