The daily tasks include to work closely with the Head of BI Section and internal users to understand business requirements and challenges, and translate them into technical requirements and implementations. The BI Analyst reports to the Head of BI. More details on its responsibilities below: Key Responsibilities: Functional Design, develop and implement BI solutions, relational and multi-dimensional data models, and administration of the BI platform environment. Maintain and roll out new enhancements to deliver consistent BI reports and dashboards. Analyze and perform SQL query fine tuning for EDW. Conduct requirements gathering and design sessions with internal customers. Advise the internal customers on best practice and be able to suggest and deliver optimal solutions to fit the business needs. Communicate solutions and follow processes to keep customers up to date on system developments. Seek and capture data requirements from users and work closely with EDW team to identify and enrich data in the EDW. Provide support to maintain, validate and enhance existing system and BI implementations. Prepare documentation to ensure all change management, release management and governance processes are adhered to Develop project documentation according to PMM requirements Organizational Manage own workload and work with the relevant colleagues and customers to prioritise enhancements. Work with the Head of BI Section and internal users to understand business requirements and challenges and translate them into technical requirements and implementations. Work with the rest of the EIM department and fully support them in their roles Jobholder Requirements: Education/Qualification Malaysian citizen Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline with IT focus Experience Preferable 3 years (or more) experience in delivering BI solutions. Fresh graduate is encouraged to apply. Knowledge of Teradata data warehouse architecture and toolset capabilities and information management best practices is highly desirable. Extensive knowledge in SQL. Experience in BI tool administration and fine tuning the BI environment for optimum performance enhancements. Experience in working on implementing complex BI solutions in support of a large customer base. Special Skills Strong analytical skills Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Excellent documentation skills and technical writing abilities Attention to detail Wide problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities Team player, always willing to help / support team efforts Able and willing to work independently with minimal supervision Knowledge in the following (preferable): Database : Teradata / MS SQL Server / PostgreSql / MySQL Systems : MS Windows, Linux/Unix Reporting / ETL tools: SAS DI, SSIS, Tableau , Informatica Certification/Licensing Requirements Teradata 13 / 14 Certification SAS Certification Microsoft BI Certification TDWI Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP)
