Mott MacDonald Malaysia is currently recruiting for a BIM Technician/ Specialist (MEP). This role will sit within our Built Environment Sector . We are looking for a Building Information Modelling (BIM) Technician / Specialist experienced in the development and coordination of 3D models using building software applications.

This person will be working on major infrastructure projects and will be responsible for creating and coordinating BIM models, as well as working on implementation plans, project setup, model production, coordination and help establish digital delivery specific workflows for collaborations and data exchange.

We are looking for a suitable candidate to support in the delivery of major Buildings & Transport projects that will help shape the communities in which we live. You will work in a professional international consultancy, working closely with our multidisciplinary engineers and consultant teams.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Production of MEP building drawings and models using Autodesk Revit
• Support BIM implementation, authoring and coordination in all phases of a project
• Assist in model navigation at design review meetings, formal submission, and BIM clash detection with other disciplines.
• Combined Services Models \xe2\x80\x93 including clash analysis of the individual services drawings with other services, architecture, structures, and third-party systems
• Communicate complex technical concepts in 3D visual models
• Interpret design intent sketches provided by the project engineers
• Comply with company and project-specific modelling and drawing standards
• Develop tools and processes to improve efficiency of project delivery
• Coordination and management of off-shore BIM resources
• Assisting in business development activities

Candidate Specification
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in BIM implementation in MEP services.
• Strong background and proficient in the use of Revit/Aecosim and Navisworks/Navigator/Microstation software.
• Diploma/Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in an engineering/architecture/design related discipline.
• Experience in programming software preferred (e.g. Dynamo, Grasshopper, Python)
• Detailed knowledge of model-based design (BIM) protocols, standards, and software
• Strong understanding in developing, supporting, and managing models per project standards
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Helpful if familiar with various Singapore authority submission for building services engineering and procedure
• Awareness of emerging technologies and trends in the industry
• Good team player with a self-motivated and proactive character
