Industry: Manufacturing Engineering Location: Bangi (need own transport) Headcount: 1 Tenure: Permanent Remuneration: Attractive Basic + Transport allowance Overview: BOM Engineer Responsible for creating and maintaining the bill of materials, which is a comprehensive list of all the components and materials required to manufacture a product The BOM engineer plays a critical role in ensuring that the correct parts and materials are available for production, and that the product is built according to design specifications Role and responsibilities Create and maintain BOMs for products based upon data received from engineering, purchasing, sales and others Reviews new BOMs to ensure they are complete and accurate prior to releasing the BOM and route to SAP Determine and validate correct materials and parts are available for production and ensure the product is built or assemble according to design specifications Work closely with production engineers to provide timely release and FA, major product updates and miscellaneous changes Respond to requests from data users to analyse and help resolve BOM data problems that may be causing downstream transactional issues Execute the end to end Bill of Material process Qualification Minimum Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic or similar Engineering field A minimum of 3 years\' experience in high level assembly from Semiconductor industry or Industrial Machinery Equipment industry with strong knowledge of manufacturing process and strong analytical, decision making, and problem solving skills A good understanding of mechanical design and concepts and how materials impact the parts with regards to function, cost, and timing Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, knowledge of geometric dimension and tolerance standard Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Ms Excel Strong analytical and problem solving skills If you are interested in the position, kindly apply directly online by clicking on the \'Apply\' button.
