Bruker Nano, one of Bruker\xe2\x80\x99s four operating segments, provides customers in academic, governmental institutions, life science, materials science, and applied industries with the tools to determine the characteristics of matter and visualize the structure of molecules. Divisions within BNANO include Bruker AXS, Bruker Nano Analytics, Bruker Nano Surfaces and Metrology, Fluorescence Microscopy, and Canopy.

For our Bruker Operation located in Penang, we are looking for a Physicist to be responsible for

• System integration and qualification of systems, tools, and components for our

instruments * Development of table-top analytical instruments for X-Xay Fluorescence Spectrometry and X-Ray Diffraction.

• Support the Operations and Partner wirth Manufacturing team in producing and testing X-Ray analytical equipment.

Responsibilities

The sucessful candidate will be responsible for :

• Development and optimization of products and components.
• Defining and optimizing workflows for instruments.
• Supporting product ramp-up to serial production and approval of quality standard for assembled products.
• Reviewing standard operating procedures and improving assembly and testing processes.
• Maintaining our existing portfolio together with operations, purchasing and vendors.
• Efficient cooperation with engineering in mechanics, electronics, software including other Bruker sites and vendors

Qualifications

• Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree or higher in Physics, or other Physical science subject 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience of R&D in industry,
• Experience in X-Ray Fluorescence Spectroscopy, X-Ray Diffraction, analytical instrumentation,or other X-ray analytical techniques.
• Understanding and hands-on experience of data collection and evaluation.
• Basic knowledge in programming and electronics-design appreciated.
• Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Appreciation and understanding of different cultures and religions.
• Very good communication skills for both internal and global teleconferences in English
• Assignment requires 1\xe2\x80\x932-month training session at a Bruker headquarters in Germany and occasional travel to Germany within R&D projects.
