Our client is an International Freight Forwarding company. In view of their operational expansion programme, they are seeking dynamic, competent and suitably qualified individuals to join their team. Position Overview: As a Branch Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of our client branch Johor Bahru. You will play a critical role in leading a team of professionals, fostering client relationships, and ensuring the branch\'s overall profitability and growth. Key Responsibilities: Sales & Operational Leadership: Oversee all aspects of branch sales, operations, including import/export processes, customs clearance, warehousing, and transportation services. Develop and implement efficient operational processes to maximize productivity and minimize costs. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards. Team Management: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of freight forwarding professionals. Manage the sales teams activities, target & performance. Set clear performance goals and provide ongoing feedback to support employee development. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and employee engagement. Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the branch\'s client portfolio. Ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction, striving to exceed client expectations. Financial Management: Develop and manage the branch budget, monitoring expenses and revenue to achieve profitability targets. Implement cost-effective measures and strategies to improve financial performance. Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts for senior management. Compliance and Safety: Ensure that the branch adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards. Promote a culture of operational excellence and responsible work practices within the branch. Market Analysis and Strategy: Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities. Contribute to the development and execution of the branch\'s strategic plans and growth initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field Proven experience (5+ years) in freight forwarding and logistics, with a track record of successful leadership. Strong knowledge of the Malaysian logistics and transportation market. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using logistics and supply chain management software. Strong financial acumen and the ability to analyze and interpret financial data. Results-oriented with a focus on achieving targets and delivering exceptional customer service. Familiarity with customs regulations and international trade practices. Fluency in English and Malay; additional languages are a plus.
