**All candidates must upload latest resume.** JOB PURPOSE Responsible for overall oil palm breeding program of LaMe material in line with FGV R&D\xe2\x80\x99s directions. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/INDIVIDUAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Technical Expertise \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient in plantation management. \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledgeable in oil palm breeding strategies and methodologies especially for oil palm. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to differentiate different oil palm background phenotypes. \xe2\x80\xa2 Lead oil palm improvement program for LaMe material. \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to identify the characteristics and good traits of LaMe \xe2\x80\xa2 Next generation improvement and conservation program \xe2\x80\xa2 Design breeding mating design and conduct genetic analysis PROJECT MANAGEMENT \xe2\x80\xa2 Prepare and monitor research project budget. \xe2\x80\xa2 Involve in inter-unit/external research collaborators for cost-efficient and fast research output. \xe2\x80\xa2 Advice and coach subordinates in research project direction and technical matters. \xe2\x80\xa2 Keep track, prioritize and manage multiple tasks in the unit to meet the timeline. REPORTING \xe2\x80\xa2 Produce scientific publications related to the research activities. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide periodical research updates in terms of report and presentations to the management. COMPETENCIES \xe2\x80\xa2 Skills in plant breeding strategies and breeding analysis \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient in varieties of oil palm materials. \xe2\x80\xa2 Possess good scientific writing skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Possess effective scientific communication skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Research problem-solving skills
