A new Business Development Consultant has just been made available with one of the reputable consultancy firms in the country.

About the Business Development Consultant Role:
Your primary role will be to identify and develop new business opportunities, build relationships with potential clients, and ultimately drive sales growth for the company. You will be responsible for understanding customer needs, presenting product or service solutions, and closing deals. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong sales acumen, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

  • Research and identify potential clients and market segments for the company\'s products or services
  • Generate new leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and referrals
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and competitor activities
Consultative Selling:
  • Engage with prospective clients to understand their requirements and pain points
  • Present and demonstrate the company\'s products or services, highlighting their value proposition and benefits
  • Provide consultative guidance and recommendations to clients, tailoring solutions to their specific needs
Relationship Building:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and point of contact
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to nurture relationships and identify additional sales opportunities
  • Attend industry events and networking activities to expand the client network
Sales Cycle Management:
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and initial contact to negotiation and closing of deals
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients while ensuring customer satisfaction and company profitability
To succeed in this role, you must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, self driven and high EQ level.

Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in a consultative selling environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to overcome objections and secure deals
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and meet sales targets
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships, and work collaboratively with internal teams
  • Knowledge of sales techniques and best practices
  • Proficiency in using CRM software or sales management tools
  • Flexibility to travel for client meetings and industry events, as needed
