About the role

The purpose of this role is to drive new business acquisition in a number of different industry segments including all aspects of Community Care (including Health Care and Education), Transport & Logistics, Food, Pharmaceuticals, Mining & Manufacturing, Hospitality and Financial Services. The role will be new business target driven with strong prospecting and closing capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business acquisition and market penetration.
  • Build effective relationships with key stakeholders in strategic and designated accounts with the purpose of expanding the penetration of LexisNexis solutions
  • Conduct a minimum of ten (10) customer visits per week to promote and demonstrate LexisNexis solutions
  • Effectively identify and develop sales opportunities to develop a sales pipeline using prescribed sales methodology
  • Achievement of monthly new billings target through Research Solutions Sales
  • Effectively identify and develop sales opportunities to develop a sales pipeline using prescribed sales methodology
  • Collaboration with Marketing, Relationship Managers and Practice Management teams in lead generation and opportunity identification and new acquisitions.
  • Ongoing relationship development during the new business acquisition process and ensuring a smooth handover after the acquisition to the Relationship Manager.
  • Measured through NPS and Account Reviews conducted with customers by the company
  • Attainment of visit targets to ensure pipeline is maintained at a level required to achieve the monthly billings target
  • At any given time, a Sales Pipeline with a minimum of three times coverage of the monthly or quarterly billings target.
  • Accurate records of customer and prospective customer contact status in the CRM system
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE
  • Degree qualified.
  • Two (2) years relevant work experience.
  • Ability to write proposals and other communications to describe business requirements and proposed solutions.
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience is Sales within a prominent organisation where structure sales and consultative selling approaches are used.
  • Experience in account management and client relationship development will be preferred.
  • Acquire good presentation skills (essential).
  • Ability to communicate/negotiate with staff at all levels within a law firm (essential).
  • Strong numeracy skills (essential).
  • Well-developed verbal communication skills (essential).
  • Highly developed computer skills including Word, Excel, Database etc.
  • Solution selling experience will be an added advantage.
